A recent scab-resistant release from CIV, Italy, Smerelda matures approximately one month before Granny Smith with similar characteristics. The smooth, green fruit has crisp, juicy flesh with elevated acidity and high sugar content. The highly productive tree is compact and easy to maintain. This variety boasts a long storage capacity for up to 6 months in regular cold storage and long shelf life.
