Description A high quality pear ripening in late September. Fruit is light green, and unlike Bartlett, does not change from green to yellow upon maturity. A fine-textured pear, the flesh is mild and aromatic. Considered more blight resistant than Bartlett. The best late fall and early winter pear. Can be kept in cold storage until late spring. Characteristics Maturity Date: September 12
Pollination Information Beurre D'Anjou is a suggested pollinizer for Bartlett, Red Bartlett, and Bosc, but it can pollinate all other European pear varieties as well.
