A Red Spy x Empire cross introduced in 1995 by the Geneva Fruit Breeding Program. Fruit is very large with a short stem, possessing Northern Spy qualities. Very suitable for roadside markets. A very vigorous tree subject to premature fruit drop when not thinned properly, due to short fruit stem. 3+ inches in diameter.
